This Image was originally from a 1961 Catholic comic called Treasure Chest of Fun and Fact. Some version of this must have been printed on everything I owned as a kid. Lunch boxes, Trapper Keepers, pillow cases. All the coolest dinosaurs, even a volcano in one perfect composition. The fact that the depiction of the dinosaurs was so inaccurate made the image irresistible to me. I wanted to make my own version of this piece using some of the techniques I’ve been experimenting with inspired by Japaneses woodblock prints.
